What is the ‘Triple Crown Club’?
Your club becomes a ‘Triple Crown Club’ when 100% of our members become:
- Paul Harris Fellows (When you give $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation grant. )
- Annual contributor to the PolioPlus Fund (in the amount of $100 each year until polio is finally eradicated worldwide)
- Rotary Foundation Sustaining Donors (When you give $100 or more per year to the Annual Fund.)
April 2024 – Triple Crown Club for the Twelfth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 12th time.
April 2023 – Triple Crown Club for the Eleventh Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 11th time.
April 2022 – Triple Crown Club for the Tenth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 10th time.
July, 2019 – Triple Crown Club for the Ninth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 9th time.
July, 2018 – Triple Crown Club for the Eighth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 8th time.
August, 2017 – Triple Crown Club for the Seventh Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 7th time.
August, 2016 – Triple Crown Club for the Sixth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 6th time.
August, 2015 – Triple Crown Club for the Fifth Time! – The Rotary Club of Kernersville has earned the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 5th time.
August, 2014 – Triple Crown Club for the Forth Time! – Current DG, Patrick Eakes officially announced that the Rotary Club of Kernersville has obtained the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 4th time.
August 14, 2013 – Triple Crown Club for the Third Time – Current DG, Cookie Billings was on hand to officially announce that the Rotary Club of Kernersville has obtained the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 3rd time.
September 28, 2012 – Triple Crown Club for the Second Time – Current DG, Rick Snyder and various PDGs were on hand to officially announce that the Rotary Club of Kernersville has obtained the ‘Triple Crown Designation’ for the 2nd time.
Feb. 20, 2009 the Rotary Club of Kernersville was presented the Triple Crown Award by DG Charles Allen at our gathering.
Only 7 others clubs in the entire world (as of 2009) have achieved this significant level of donations towards the Rotary Foundation, which represents less than .02% of the clubs. In doing so, we awarded 25 new Paul Harris Fellows and 36 Rotary Foundation Benefactors. Arnold King and Mike Shaw were instrumental in setting this goal and achieving this a great deal of help from ALL of our members, especially Al Kerr.
2009 New Benefactors included: Kevin Adams, Rich Blakemore, Ron Greene, Jack Kerr, Hamp Langdon, Bill Phipps, Pam Ray, Larry Cain, Doc Coplin, Trish Gainey, J. R. Gorham, David Jones, Tom McDaniel, Curtis Swisher.

| The Rotary Club of Kernersville hosted a “Triple Crown Awards” night Friday, Feb. 20 at The Factory in Kernersville. Roughly 100 people attended at the event. The event commemorated the club joining an exclusive group. To become a Triple Crown Club, every member of a club must be a Paul Harris Fellow, a sustaining member of the club and a club benefactor. Twenty-five Paul Harris Fellows and 36 Rotary Foundation Benefactors Awards were presented at the Triple Crown Club Awards night.
The Rotary Club of Kernersville became one of only eight Rotary Clubs out of 33,000 in the world that have been awarded the Triple Crown Club distinction. Mayor Dawn Morgan attended the ceremony to give the Rotary Club a proclamation.
